My semester 2 final, being a food platter with a theme, has been so much fun to make. I began the final way back  when it was announced so that I could spend a lot of time  on it, and even still didn't have time to glaze it a second time. I really really enjoyed making this piece.  If I could have done it differently, I definetly would have made it larger so that more food can be stored on it, but the glazing is unique and the piece is solid, so other than that, I had no notes. Originally, I wasn't going to make this piece my final, it was going to be my organic shape, which is why I am counting it as both, but it was very easy to get creative  with. My plan was to make a fun shaped platter using thin pieces of clay, eventually add walls, and then glaze a lot of dessert items, which is what I ended up doing. Very cute piece, and very excited about it. (The final product isn't up yet because it hasn't finished firing.)
